2022 BEGE Event : Exhibiting Latest Tech Innovations for Bulgaria’s Most Dynamic Entertainment Industry

Bulgaria’s gambling industry has the most spirited modernization trends, enabling the country to hit the 2022 BGN 240 million target revenue in as early as Sept. The achievement indicates that by the end of 2022, the industry will surpass the BGN 241 million revenues gained in 2021. This information was part of the welcoming statement given by Angel Iribozov, the Management Board Chairman of the Association of Gaming Industry in Bulgaria during the opening ceremonies of the 2022 Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Expo (BEGE). Held last November at the Inter-Expo Center in Sofia, the exposition event was under the auspices of Bulgaria’s newly designated gambling regulator, the National Revenue Agency (NRA) under the helm of NRA Executive Director Boris Mihailovwhich.

According to Iribozov, the holding of the exposition is significant in sustaining the growth of the country’s online gambling sector. As part of the entertainment sector, online gambling went on an upswing trend in 2021, when access to land-based gambling venues was limited. Yet the continuing advancements in technology has been transforming the gambling industry as a whole.

Iribozov pointed out that as a matter of fact, the land-based gambling arena has been expanding rapidly since Bulgaria’s prestigious luxury resort hotels now have integrated casinos to offer guests. On the other hand, the online sports betting market has become more competitive. Mainly because this year saw the addition of 11 licensed sports betting companies.

The highlights of the dynamic development of the gambling sector is the collaboration between land-based casino companies and the online gambling tech providers. Observers say that an online and interactive link-up is the biggest challenge faced by many of the nation’s land-based gambling entities.

Gaming technology experts say that through the 2022 BEGE, many Eastern European start-ups will find the needed tech support of international gambling suppliers and tech providers.

After all, major gambling and gaming tech companies like EGT, Amusnet Interactive, EGT Digital, Every Matrix, Amatic Industries, CT-Gaming/CT-Interactive and many more, were in attendance at the event to display and demonstrate their latest tech innovations for online casino and mobile gambling operations.

Example of a Land-Based Bulgaria Casino Poised to Operate as an Online казино

A good example of a popular Bulgarian casino that is now focused on growing its online and mobile gambling operations is online casino. It’s one of the popular standalone casinos in Sofia, offering mostly bingo and slot machine games.

The casino is all set to transition to online and mobile gambling operations in December of this year, with the support of gambling software and games providers like CT Gaming, Amusnet, EGT, Wazdan and Pragmatic Play. In addition to online bingo and slot games, the former land-based casino will also be offering live dealer casino table games like blackjack, baccarat and roulette.

Customers can arrange for deposit and withdrawal payment transactions with online payment processors like EasyPay and ePay or transact by way of debit or credit cards.
